7 Months...

Time is flying by faster and faster each month. We are loving how their little personalities are starting to shine through now. Nothing to new is going on since last month with them. We have started to introduce them to small bites of food, after my friend(Heather) assured me I would not kill my kids with puffs, we have also tried small pieces of banana and so far no need to use the Heimlich!

They are doing a great job of sitting all by themselves and spend a lot of time on the floor playing together and stealing each others toys. They absolutely love to go swimming, Lauren just chills out and Colin's little feet kick the entire time he is in the water, he definitely takes after his mama with his love to swim!

Trouble is his middle name, holy crap we are in for it when he starts moving.

Lauren's hair is really starting to grow, i tried to get a picture of her spikes!

This by far the hardest job Luke and I have ever had but the good sure outweighs the bad!

Mmm Watermelon...

We tried watermelon in our mesh feeders this weekend and it was a HUGE hit! I've been trying to upload a video but blogger won't let me for some reason. Those of you who are my facebook friends check it out there!

Beach trip...

We survived our 1st vacation with the twins and it was much easier then I expected. They had a great time and we had NO meltdowns. We spent 1 day on the beach, another day on the boardwalk and shopping, 1 day just hanging at the house in the pool and another day visiting our friend John and riding jet skis while the babies napped(this was the most fun!)

Both babies enjoyed the sand and the water, Colin had a great time jumping waves with Daddy while Mommy watched scared to death he would accidentally fall out of Luke's hands!

All 4 kiddos enjoying some downtime, they all played great together and Jackie helped out so much by entertaining them!

Abby is 1 yr older then the twins, its hard to believe next summer they will be this big!

We made dinner every night instead of going out, it was so nice to relax with friends!

Lauren found a great buddy in Mike, she just wouldn't take her eyes off him

In other news on July 1st our good friends Lonny, Andrea and big sister Paige welcome baby Wyatt Everett into the world.

Lauren apparently was not happy to meet him!

Cousins...

6 months old...

I remember thinking how far away 6 months seemed, Holy crap it FLEW by!

I can't even imagine how fast the next 6 months will go by
Its getting really hard to get them to sit still long enough to get pictures together

Things to remember about Lauren

• your wearing 6 months clothes now but can still squeak into 3 months clothes
• Your wearing size 3 diapers
• No clue what you weigh, we find out in 2 weeks
• You LOVE to eat your fruits and veggies, we haven't found anything you dislike. You hum while waiting for the next bite!
• You have starting growling in the last month and just in the last week you have started hissing...your our little monster!
• Your sleeping from 6:30pm till 5:30am
• You can sit on your own unless you lean to the side to grab something
• You have the sweetest soul!

Things to remember about Colin

• Wearing anywhere from 6 months to 12 months clothing
• Size 3 Diapers
• No idea on weight until 7/2
• You are finally really enjoying eating and you have stopped spitting everything all over me, i think peaches are your favorite right now
• Your making so many sounds, the 2 newest sounds are babababa and dadadadad...where is the mamamama come on boy
• You sleep 6:30pm till 5:30am
• Your sitting all on your own now just occasional toppling over
• You can hardly wait until you can move all by yourself, i think your just going to get up and run

We went to HersheyPark last weekend and you wore yourselves out

We also went to the pool and you wore yourselves out, taking two babies to the pool alone is hard but thanks to Heather meeting us their with her kids we made it work!

Happy 6 months to my 2 little miracles, we anxiously await what the next 6 months hold for us( a little sadness from mommy knowing how much your going to grow up these next 6 months)

Summertime....

So I've been a bit of a blog slacker but the older these 2 get the harder it is to get some time to update! Summertime is here and we are LOVIN IT!! I know i promised a food post a while back but hey I'm lazy.

So far we have tried, sweet potatoes, squash, green beans, peas, apples(and sauce). Sweet potatoes are our favorite as you can tell. Surprising when given applesauce they act like i just fed them lemons??? I'm thinking today as a treat we will try some pears!

We broke out the jumperoos a few weeks ago. Lauren is still a little to short but nothing a pillow can't fix. She still doesn't get the whole jump thing but just in the last few days those legs have started moving.

Colin on the other hand is a jumping machine!!!! He loves it and you can see in his face while he jumps how proud of himself he is. I load a video of it in a few days!

They have really started interacting with each other lately and the wrestling has already began!

We broke out our other stroller and we LOVE it(Thanks Tresslers)

First baby pool experience, they were a little unsure at first and i think once they are more stable sitting on their own they will really enjoy it!

6months is approaching fast, I can hardly believe it!!! 1 more month till vacation too YAY!!!

Seriously where does the time go, its incredible how you think you love them only to realize you love them even more the next day!

Some things I want to remember about you right now

• Your wearing depending on the brand size 3-6 or 6-9 and you have actually worn some 12months shirts
• Your wearing size 2 diapers
  
• You can roll from tummy to back but we have yet to see you roll back to belly
  
• You love to eat and generally eat anywhere from 30-34oz a day and are loving your solid food(another post to come on that)
  
• You are so curious about everything, anybody new that walks into the room gets a gaping mouth stare
  
• You babble nonstop, you always have a story to tell and lately your babbling should be called shrieking
  You are always sucking you index finger and when you get hungry one finger turns into 4 fingers and inevitable you end up gagging yourself
  
• You have found your feet and that really helps out at diaper changes, however you also have crazy legs that kick nonstop and I'm working on getting it on video
  
• I stepped on the scale today with you and it said you weighed 16lbs!!!!
  
• You love it when we tickle your belly and talk in a Donald duck voice, your laugh its so amazing it sometimes brings me to tears that your mine!!!

• Your wearing 3-6months clothing
• You are also wearing size 2 diapers although I'm sure you could still fit into 1-2 but its easier for both to wear the same
• You also can roll belly to back and are so close to rolling from back to belly.
• You eat right around 30oz a day and you still make that cute lip smacking noise while you eat that you have since you were born
• You are incredibly smiley and anybody that walks into a room gets a big smile!
• Your really starting to talk alot just like your brother, today you talked nonstop even while you ate.
• Your tiny little tongue is always slightly poking out of your mouth and you love when we pretend to grab it
• You like to lick you fist like an ice cream cone and suck on your forearm(yes we know shes strange)
• Your starting to notice you feet but you are far more interested in the colors and patterns on your bibs and outfits!
• Today the scale said you weighed 14lbs
• I can't believe your mine!
